Duel 22: War of The Monsters Prelims Part 2

The war of the monsters tournament is in day two. Tara has won all eight duels with no losses. Her next opponent is standing in front of her with his duel disk at the ready. The man has brown hair covering one of his green eyes. He has white skin, and is wearing a black short sleeved shirt, and camo shorts. "Didn't think I'd get to duel such a beatiful women," The man said. "My name is Joe. I'm here to earn a spot in the official war of the monsters tournament." "It seems that ways," Tara said. "Sorry to disappoint you, but I' don't plan on losing here." "Then let's make a liitle deal," Joe said. "If I win, you'll have to give me a chance to take you on a date." "And if I win," Tara said. "You'll never ask me out again." "Fair Enough," Joe agreed. "Duel," Both players said drawing five cards. "I'll go first," Joe said. "I'll start by playing my Masked Dragon in attack mode. A white and red dragon with folded wings appears with 1400 attack points. "Now I'll put two cards face down," Joe said. "That'll end my turn." Two cards appear in Joe's spell and trap zone. "Then its my turn, draw," Tara said. "I'll summon Breaker, The Magical Warrior." A man holding a sword and a red and yellow shield wearing red and yellow armor with a red cape attached appears with 1600 attack points. "Now when he's normal summoned he gains a spell counter, and this counter will give him 300 extra attack points. However I can remove that spell counter, so that I can destroy a spell or trap on your side of the field." Breaker loses his spell counter, and destroys Joe's  trap called Nordic Relic Laevateinn. "Now Breaker will attack Masked Dragon," Tara said. Breaker swings his sword and destroys Masked Dragon. "Ah," Joe cried. Joe's life points drop from 4000 to 3800. "Now my Masked Dragon's effect activates," Joe said. "When he's destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard. I can special summon a dragon-type monster with 1500 or less attack from my deck." Joe takes the card sticking out of his deck, and plays it after his deck is shuffled. The card he played is another Masked Dragon. "I'll throw three cards face down," Tara said. "I'll end my turn." Three cards appear in Tara's spell and trap zone. "My turn, draw," Joe said. "I'll set a monster, and throw down two face downs, and that ends my turn." A set monster appears, and two cards appear in Joe's spell and trap zone. "My move, draw," Tara said. "I'll set a monster in defense mode." A face down monster appears. "I'll activate Threatening Roar," Joe said. "This card will keep your monsters from attacking any of my monsters during this turn." A yellow lion with black wing, and an orange scorpion tail appears, and roars at Tara's monsters. "Then I have no choice, but to end my turn," Tara said. "Then the next draw is mine," Joe said drawing a card. "I'll activate Shard of Greed." A green shard with a red eye appears on the field. "This card will gain a greed counter for each card(s) I draw," Joe said. "I can send this card to the graveyard to draw two cards as long as it has two or more greed counters on it. I'll then switch my Masked Dragon to defense mode, and that'll end my turn." Masked Dragon has 1100 defense points. "Then the next move is mine," Tara said drawing a card. "I'll discard one card from my hand to the graveyard in order to summon The Tricky." A man wearing a white and black jester suit with a blue cape attached, and a question mark on his face, and chest appears with 2000 attack points. "Now The Tricky will attack your face down monster," Tara said. "The Tricky hurls a black ball of energy at the face down monster card. The monster is flipped face-up revealing the monster known as Golem Dragon. The dragon is made of rocks, and has 2000 defense points. Golem Dragon survives the attack. "Then Breaker will attack your Masked Dragon," Tara said. "That's not gonna happen," Joe said. "While Golem Dragon is face-up on the field no monster can attack other dragon-type monsters I control." Breakers attack is redirected at Golem Dragon. "Ah," Tara cried. Tara's life points drop from 4000 to 3600. "I'll end my turn," Tara said. "My turn, draw," Joe said. Shard of greed gets a greed coounter. "I'll summon Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV4," Joe said. A dragon made of metal appears on the field with 1600 attack points. "That'll end my turn, Joe said. "Its my move, draw," Tara said. "I'll have to end my turn." "I can't do anything until I get that Golem Dragon off of the field," Tara thought. "Its my turn to draw," Joe said. Shard of Greed gets another greed counter. "Now I'll send Shard of Greed to the graveyard, so that I can draw two cards from my deck," Joe said. Joe draws two cards from his deck after Shard of Greed disappears. "Now I'll tribute Masked Dragon, and Golem Dragon so that I can summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon," Joe said holding the card up in the air. Masked Dragon, and Golem Dragon disappear and a white dragon with blue-eyes appears behind Joe with 3000 attack points. "Now Blue-Eyes White Dragon," Joe said. "Attack Breaker, The Magical Warrior." "That's not gonna happen," Tara said. "I'm activating Magic Cylinder. This will negate the attack, and then you take the monsters attack points as damage to your life points." A purple cup appears and catches the attack and sends it back at Joe. "Aaahhh," Joe screamed. "Joe's life points drop from 3800 to 800. "I'll end my turn after putting one card face down," Joe said. A card appears in Joe's spell and trap zone. "Its my move, draw," Tara said. I'm going to activate Swords of Revealing Light. This card will keep your monsters from attacking me for three whole turns." Three swords made of light appears in the middle of the field. "That will end my turn," Tara said. "Then its my turn, and I draw," Joe said. "I'll summon Alexandrite Dragon." A dragon covered in jewels appears with 2000 attack points. "After that I'll end my turn," Joe said. One of the swords fall and stab into the ground. "My turn, draw," Tara said. "I'll have to end my turn." "She's setting something up," Joe thought while drawing a card. "I'll activate my spell called Dark Hole. This card will destroy all monster currently on the field." A black vortex appears and destroys all monster on the field. "Now I'll activate my trap, Call of The Haunted," Joe said. "This card will allow me to special summon a monster from my graveyard. I choose the almighty Blue-Eyes White Dragon." Blue-Eyes reappears on the field behind Joe. "Real proud of that dragon," Tara said. "You flatter me," Joe said. "I'll have to end my turn." Another sword falls into the ground. "My move, draw," Tara said. "I think its time for me to end this duel. I'll start by activating Ancient rule which allows me to summon a level five or higher normal monster from my hand. Then I'll chain with it by activating Mystical Space Typhoon, and this will allow me to destroy a spell or trap on your side of the field, and I'll choose the card to your left." Mystical Space Typhoon destroys Joe's Book of Moon." "Now my Ancient Rules spell card will resolve," Tara said. "Now rise my mighty Dark Magician." A man with white skin, and dirty blonde hair appears wearing a purple robe, and purple hat appears with 2500 attack points. "Your crazy," Joe said. "That monster has no chance at beating my monster." "Then I'll gladly take it out," Tara said. "I'm activating Dark Magic Attack. This card can only be activated by having a Dark Magician on the field, and it destroys all of your spell and trap cards on the field." "No," Joe shouted. Dark Magician hurls balls of energy at both of Joe's spell and trap cards, and Blue-Eyes leaves the field when Call of The Haunted is destroyed. "Now Dark Magician will finish this duel with Dark Magic Attack," Tara said. Dark Magician hurls a ball of energy at Joe. "Aaahhh," Joe screamed. Joe's life points drop from 800 to zero. "That makes nine wins," Tara said. "And zero losses.
